Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD) has a devastating financial and emotional impact on families. It is estimated to cost at least $17,000 more per year to care for a child with ASD. More people than ever before are being diagnosed with ASD and any product, based on proven theory, which can improve the function of a child with ASD and not negatively impact the family, is a step forward. The CAPS Sensory Lounger/Chair meets those criteria. Our goal is to use the lounger as a platform to build a suite of sensory design products to improve the daily lives of children with ASD.
